Dover incident: "Migrants rescued from the English Channel"

Seven migrants were reportedly rescued from a boat overnight in the English Channel.

The Dover Coast Guard said they assisted the UK Border Force today at about 2 am in an incident in the English Channel.

The BBC reports that seven migrants were picked up by a boat.

Dover Lifeboat was launched at 2.30am.

The port is not affected by the incident.

A quick statement from HM Coastguard said, "HM Coastguard is currently supporting Border Force in an incident in the Dover Channel."

The Ministry of the Interior was asked for an opinion.
