We knew that Dragon Quest XI was on the way to Switch for a while, but today we finally got the confirmation that it would come to the West this year. Hooray!
Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Unbelievable Age – Final Edition (Try to say that twice as fast) will come to the console this fall, offering a generous selection of exclusive content to stand out from the original release introduced on PS4, 3DS and PC last year (the 3DS version) remains exclusively to Japan).
This shiny new edition includes new character-specific stories that give the lead actor more time to shine, and the game will feature a fully orchestrated soundtrack and original music. You can also choose between the English or Japanese language lanes. The most exciting feature, however, is the ability to switch to 16-bit graphics at any time. The 3DS version contained a similar function. All these elements can be switched during the game.
We had to wait a little longer than our PlayStation 4 owners to get their hands on this cherished JRPG, but we think it's great that the Switch version of Dragon Quest XI gets so much exclusive content. Let us know if you agree by posting below.
