The world of cosplay is quite a fascinating universe, the ability to impersonate your favorite character and be in their skins is an addictive experience for many. It’s a pretty big community that isn’t afraid to materialize their wishes, but this all goes to another level when you’re dressed as a Stormtrooper, promoting the restaurant where you work and suddenly you end up being forced to the ground by cops who thought your weapon was real. Well that’s precisely what happened to a woman in Lethbridge, Canada, after people thought she was carrying a real gun and called the police.

The woman happened to be an employee of Coco Vanilla Galactic Cantina, a pizzeria and pop culture themed shop. She started her workday in her Stormtrooper outfit in the form of a Valentine’s Day celebration. Star Wars, walking through the streets, promoting their premises and taking photos with the people who passed. Well apparently some people (who surely have not seen a stormtrooper in their life) felt threatened by the cosplay weapon and called the police thinking that the worker had a real rifle.

This did not end well at all, as the police arrived at the scene pointing their weapons at the worker and forcing her to crouch on the floor. The woman threw the plastic weapon, but due to the limited mobility that the stormtrooper suit gave her, she was not able to duck quickly, so the policemen took the matter in their hands and pushed her directly to the concrete. The woman had a broken nose and although in this instance the police already knew that the weapon was not real, they decided to take the woman to the barracks anyway.

We do not know how the story of this worker ended or if it was really processed, but we hope the best from the Tarreo.com team.
