“Ends his contract”, “Sell” – Loads of Hoops fans let the “abysmal” Celtic man boil

Array

Celtic didn’t really help each other during the Europa League return game against Copenhagen, with individual errors that directly contributed to two of the away team’s goals, while the other was poorly defended.

Jozo Simunovic is one of the culprits in this, as he practically gave the Danish giants their first goal of the game.

When a long ball was played over the top, he cooked his pass back to the goalkeeper, who began the disastrous defense that led to Michael Santos scoring.

According to WhoScored, the Croatian completed two of the three tackles he attempted, in addition to making five games and four interceptions. In addition, he won nine of the 12 aerial duels in which he competed.

Despite these fairly impressive statistics, the severe lack of concentration and belief that led to the opener is what will define his game.

This left a lot of Celtic fans boiling with the 25-year-old after the full-time whistle.

Some even went so far as to say it should have been sold, while a fan asked the club to “terminate the contract tonight”.

The defender has now started 13 games and once left the bench once this season, through the SPFL, the Champions League and the Europa League, suggesting that it is unnecessary for the club.

This performance certainly didn’t help his cause with fans, as he has now become a target for their frustrations.

Meanwhile, a midfielder was predicted by Celtic fans after the defeat.
