The administrations of Malabo and Ankara review their ties of friendship and cooperation. It was this Wednesday, at the African Palace in Bata, in a meeting that brought together the Equatorial Guinean Vice President and the Charge d’Affaires of the Turkish Embassy in Equatorial Guinea.
In his conversations, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue conveyed Malabo’s gratitude to the Turkish Government for supporting the efforts of the National Executive in its fight against the coronavirus.
Equatorial Guinea and Turkey established their diplomatic relations in 1980. And in 2018 the two countries launched the operation of their respective diplomatic headquarters. During these four decades, the relations between both administrations have known important achievements, with the signing of several agreements in the sectors of Aviation, Education, Health, Economy, among others; In addition to the reciprocal visits carried out between the members of the Government of both nations. Therefore, in this meeting, Nguema Obiang Mangue and Ersoy Yilmaz have raised the need to extend this cooperation to other domains in order to continue strengthening ties between the two countries.
