Brussels (dts news agency) – EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU Council Chairman Charles Michel have signed the trade agreement with Great Britain. Both signed the contract on Wednesday morning that the negotiators had agreed on last week. The British House of Commons will vote on the paper on Wednesday afternoon, after which the House of Lords will deal with it.
Consent is very likely in both cases. The EU Parliament also has to approve the contract. But that should not happen until next year – the new regulation should initially come into force at the turn of the year.
