Eugenia de York returns to her parents’ house in the final stretch of her pregnancy

Last December, Princess Eugenie of York and her husband, the businessman Jack Brooksbank, they mysteriously left Frogmore Cottage, the residence next to Windsor Castle that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had given them, after spending just six weeks there.

As the journalist Omid Scobie, co-author of the biography of the Dukes of Sussex, has now revealed Finding Freedom, the couple then moved to Royal Lodge, the Windsor residence that he prince Andrew share with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, and in which both Eugenia and her sister Beatriz grew up. The princess and her husband settled in the house to spend Christmas with the Duke and Duchess of York, “so most likely they will stay there until the year is later,” says Omid in the latest podcast of The HeirPod.

In the middle of the final stretch of the pregnancy with her first child, Eugenia de York would have preferred to stay with her parents rather than return to her previous residence in Kensington Palace, and especially considering that the British Government currently prohibits travel other than strictly necessary and that London, the enclave of Kensington Palace, currently has one of the highest rates of coronavirus infections in Europe.
