Does the good news sound klaxon; The BBC has confirmed that a Planet Earth III will appear on our screens. The easy catch is that the 8-part Natural World documentary will not be available until 2022. So we have to wait a good three years before the favorite of David Attenborough returns.

But it sounds like we have a lot to see. In a statement, the BBC said:

"The reverence and wonder of the original planet Earth, the new scientific insights and discoveries of Blue Planet II and Planet Earth II, and the character-driven history of the dynasties will take the" Planet Earth "series to a new level."

The national treasure of David Attenborough has not yet been formally confirmed for the series. At the age of 92, we would not blame him for retirement. (But at the same time, he is not better, because without him, it's just not the same thing.)

Also announced was the second series of Frozen planet, which is scheduled to air in 2021, 10 years after the original season. This brings us back to the Arctic and Antarctic and dives into a very icy nature.

Luckily for the less patient among us, A David Attenborough documentation comes to Netflix much earlier: Our planet Arrives on April 5, 2019. We can hardly wait.
