Ex-Barclays bankers are eliminated from fraud in Qatar | Business

Three former high bankers with Barclays came out free yesterday after being released from the bank’s Qatar bailout fraud during the financial crisis almost 12 years ago.

A jury of seven women and five men took five and a half hours to find Roger Jenkins, Richard Boath and Thomas Kalaris not guilty of all the charges.

The acquittals put an end to a case that fascinated the city but raised doubts about the judgment of the Office for serious fraud in bringing charges and its competence to prosecute them.
