LaLiga Giants FC Barcelona has provided transfer updates for the signing of Antoine Griezmann, FIFA World Cup 2018 World Champion, and the world's most expensive player, Neymar.

The Frenchman has been very interested in the Catalan giants in the past and joined almost the last year, but decided to stay with Atletico Madrid and reveal his decision before the 2018 World Cup.

The Blaugrana, however, got new hope in their pursuit of the 27-year-old after Atletico retired from the UEFA Champions League with Juventus in March, along with the French newspaper Facilities; L & # 39 He reported that Griezmann would reconsider his future with Diego Simeone's side after failing to progress in the biggest European club competition.

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has since provided an update on Barca's possible persecution of Griezmann, claiming that a deal for the French international is not on the table.

"There is always speculation for great players, but Griezmann plays for Atletico Madrid and has a contract there," said Bartomeu TVE, as quoted by Marca.

"Great players in Spain are fantastic for the league, they encourage sponsorship and opportunities, but if Griezmann wants to come, he has to talk to the clubs.

"But his name is not on the table, he has not called Barcelona and there is always speculation about such issues."

Bartomeu also commented on the future of Ivan Rakitic and Samuel Umtiti and precluded a return of the club for the world's most expensive player, Neymar.

"Ivan Rakitic, we are happy with him, we have promised that we would extend his contract, but that has not happened yet, but we will talk," he added.

"Samuel Umtiti, he's a fantastic player, a World Cup winner, he has four years left and we hope he continues to recover from his injury and succeed for this club.

"It can not be because we have a new sporty direction with Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho."
