The 139 cabin crew representative said that both sides had failed to reach an agreement this week
The union, which has more than 130 flight attendants for Flair Airlines, headquartered in B.C. has issued a 72-hour strike notice.
The public-service union's ultra-low-cost carrier and Local 4060 were mediating on Wednesday, but the two sides failed to reach an agreement, union representative Gary Yee said. The strike decision was issued on Friday evening.
Black Press Media has contacted Flair Airlines to comment.
The airline is based in Kelowna, with other bases in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Abbotsford.
