Oaxaca, Oax.- In the afternoon – night of this Tuesday, heavy rains accompanied by hail, wind and lightning caused flooding and blackouts in some areas of Oaxaca City.

Elements of Civil Protection activated their protocols due to the storm registered tonight.

Flooding caused by accumulation of garbage and the fire of a pine tree in Santa Anita neighborhood were reported, as well as the fall of a tree on federal highway 190 in Santa Lucía del Camino.

A couple of vehicles were stranded in the area known as the Ixcotel swing and residents of the lower part of the Lomas de San Juan neighborhood reported flooding.

Also in the Colonia Reforma Agraria it was flooded and in San Martín Mexicapam, the sewers were filled with garbage.

In Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán they reported hail fall.
