Alex Cruz, former CEO of British Airways, who was recently replaced by Sean Doyle, in parallel with the appointment of Luis Gallego as CEO of IAG, instead of Willie Walsh, today at IATA; is the main candidate to become the new CEO of SAS (Scandinavian Airlines System). Apparently, SAS would have probed Cruz, as a replacement for Rickard Gustafson. This latest executive announced last January that he would leave his post in July this year, after a decade of work. Cruz has a couple of “medals” in his record, first running a large corporation like British Airways, and second having led it in the middle of the Brexit process. It should be remembered that SAS is partially owned by the governments of Denmark and Sweden.
