The death toll reached 10,328, while the number of confirmed cases increased to 78,167.
Health Director General Jérôme Salomon has warned that France has not yet reached the peak of the epidemic.
France has become the fourth country to register over 10,000 coronavirus deaths after Italy, Spain and the United States.
It comes as Paris has banned people who train between 10am and 7pm in an attempt to slow the spread of Covid-19.
The move came after people were accused of breaking the rules and gathering near the markets.
From Wednesday, people will only be able to practice outside between 19:00 and 10:00.
France has been in a state of blockade since March 17 to fight the virus.
The measures are currently in effect until April 15, but are likely to be extended.
Health Minister Olivier Veran said the blockade would last as long as necessary.
He told the French broadcaster BFM TV: “We are still in a worsening phase of the epidemic”.
