CHESHIRE, CT – (from the Cheshire Police Department): The Cheshire Police Department's Police Explorer Program, in partnership with The Hometown Foundation, is hosting a complimentary community dinner from 6:30 pm. until 9pm on Wednesday, December 11, at Cheshire High School, 525 South Main Street.
This dinner is meant to encourage togetherness and share the night together. Dinner is free for residents of Cheshire and city staff. 600 tickets are available subject to availability. During dinner, we provide entertainment for families, pictures with Santa and music. The explorers created a special main table for local military personnel and their families to honor their ministry and their sacrifices, which is particularly noticeable on public holidays.
"Part of the Police Explorer program is to teach our youth to engage with their community," said Chief of Police Dryfe. "The explorers began with an idea of how to bring the community together during the holiday season, and this dinner is a direct result of their hard work and determination."
