Pep Guardiola has challenged Raheem Sterling to maintain his dazzling progress to reach the high level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
In his three years worked under GuardiolaSterling has become one of the city's most influential players, as recognized by its peers who voted it PFA's Young Player of the Year last season.
The 24 years old has continued this impressive form so far this season, and has also been at his best in England's three Lions' European Championship qualifying games earlier this month, scoring victories against Bulgaria and Kosovo.
This quality and consistency has led several experts and observers to refer to Sterling as a potential future balloon d & #; Or winner.

Asked at his pre-match press conference in Norwich, however, Guardiola said that Sterling has not yet reached the high level of Messi or Ronaldo.
But the city boss added that he has no doubt that Sterling has both the talent and the necessary application to keep going and potentially belong to the elite players in the world.
"Not at the moment, but maybe in the future, I wish it," said Guardiola.
"They (Ronaldo and Messi) have scored 50 or 60 goals in the last ten years and won the balloon d & # 39; Or and prizes every year except for this one … they are legends, something unique in world football.
"If Raheem can target this level, wow.
"Of course he can and I will not be the type to show him his limitations … I want him to train after training.
"But right now no one – in any club – can compare to these two guys, which they do for a decade every week. Nobody can compare that. "
When asked if he had made a change in pounds sterling since the start of his summer 2016 co-operation, Raheem's boss acknowledged his relentless pursuit of improvement and progress.
And he said that shows Sterling's clinical quality in front of the goal, a development in which he scored 25 goals last term and scored six goals in five City games this term.
"It's his talent and desire," added Guardiola.

"He also played well with Brendan Rodgers (in Liverpool) and also for the national team.
"From the beginning, he had an incredible mentality to become better and more clinical, and now he's a winner.
"Sometimes, before he does good dribbling action, but not at the finish, he can now win games himself.
"It is always exercise and exercise and exercise and mentality.
"The players who score goals are in front of goal. You can not score goals if you are not in these positions. Now it is him. "
