The sister of a man found dead in an apartment in Paisley brought harrowing tributes to his brother.
Ryan Low was discovered on his property on Springbank Road after police were called in on Monday morning.
The 32-year-old’s death is treated as murder.
Ryan’s devastated sister, Danielle Low, spoke of her brother’s special bond with her son.
Sharing Ryan’s photos with his young nephew, he said, “Ryan with my Jaxon from the day he was born, their bond was indestructible.”
Karin Marie Dunsmore added: “The best uncle of him was and will always look at you and the Hunni boys.”
Ryan’s friend Steven Rennie said, “Shocked by the news partner, I can’t believe it. The thoughts are with Davie and the whole family. RIP Ryan Low.”
Ryan was a passionate supporter of Hibernian FC and had connections to the Edinburgh area.
Hibs fans flooded social media with tributes together with his friends and family.
Zara Jane Brown said: “Absolutely heartbreaking thoughts go to all his family and friends, to snatch the Edinburgh Hibs x legend.”
Natalie Livingstone added: “Such a pity, thinking of your family right now, Ryan flies high.”
Emma Williams said, “Sleep well Ryan. Easter road won’t be the same without you.”
Claire Baxter added: “Sleep well Ryan, we’ll miss your cheeky and boring self.”
And Stacey Ross said, “Ryan, you were a good boy. I can’t believe I read this.”
Three blocks of flats in the Shortroods area of Paisley were isolated as a murder probe was launched in Ryan’s death.
Investigators are now combing CCTV as part of their investigations
Relatives have been informed and a full report will be sent to the Tax Attorney in due course.
Chief Investigator Chief Investigator Inspector Gillian Grant (West) said: “Extensive police investigations are currently underway.
“The agents are collecting CCTV footage from the surrounding area to provide additional information that will help us track down the person or persons responsible, and door-to-door investigations are being conducted.
“I would ask anyone who has been in the Springbank Road area of Paisley in the past few days and who may have seen or heard a disturbance, witnessed any strange activity or anyone who is acting strangely to get in touch with us.
“I am also looking forward to hearing from anyone who has had contact with Ryan recently. We reported a sighting of Ryan on the evening of Wednesday 24 June 2020.
“Anyone with information that could help us in this investigation, or who may have seen or spoken recently with Ryan, is invited to call us on 0141 305 4530, citing reference number 1150 on June 29th.
