Henry Cavill is one of the most sought-after actors today, thanks to roles as Superman and Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher. Following the same line of video games, the name of the artist has been used a lot to play Arthas Menethil.
The character is the crown prince of Lordaeron in the World of Warcraft, a series belonging to Blizzard Entertainment. Without a doubt, it would be a great role for the interpreter’s career and the fans could not agree more for the signing.
Through Instagram, artist BossLogic shared a picture of Cavill as Arthas and wowed fans of the franchise. The uproar on social networks was such that the actor commented on the publication where he tagged Blizzard with a thoughtful emoji.
In this way, he made clear his interest in giving life to the emblematic character, but the decision would fall solely on the company. Will it come true? At the moment there is no official pronouncement, but the vice president of Blizzard, Chris Metzen, has already approved the choice of the actor.
Warcraft already had a film adaptation called Warcraft: the beginning (2016). Although the film had a modest gross, the specialized critics did not approve it and even compared it to The Lord of the Rings.
For these reasons, there was no information about the sequel in recent years. In fact, the director of the aforementioned film pointed out that there would be no second part because it did not obtain the profits that were planned and the investment would not be worth the risk.
