Friends’ cameo star Stan Kirsch died at 51 after taking his own life.
The actor – who was known for his role as Richie Ryan in Highlander – was found dead in his Los Angeles home by his wife Kristyn Green on Saturday.
Paramedics were rushed to his home, but the TV star was declared dead on the scene.
Stan had a starring cameo in Friends where he played a man who Ethan was dating Monica (Courteney Cox).
He starred in the episode The One with the Ick Factor in 1995.
The star made her mark in the spheres of acting as Richie Ryan.
He was a role he played for six seasons on the hit TV show from 1992 to 1998.
Stan also lent his acting talent to Lieutenant Ferrari’s character in JAG for five seasons.
He left his wife Kristyn, who confirmed the news of her husband’s death on Facebook on Monday.
The actress contacted her family and friends to publicly thank them for their “love outburst” in a difficult time.
In a long message, he wrote: “I want to thank everyone for the outburst of love and support. I have not been able to answer all the texts, calls, e-mails – but I have read or listened to all of them. I feel surrounded by love and I am forever grateful to each of you. “
Stan and Kristyn were married for a decade after the couple got married in 2009.
The official Highlander Facebook group paid tribute to Stan in a note that praised him for bringing his sense of humor, kindness and enthusiasm for the show.
He said: “It is with great sadness that we recognize Stan Kirsch’s death.
“Without Stan Kirsch, Highlander: the series would have been much less. It brought a sense of humor, kindness and youthful enthusiasm to Richie Ryan’s character for six seasons. “
