Arsenal has been linked in a move to Chelsea winger Willian as the Brazilian approaches the end of his current Stamford Bridge deal.
He will be out of contract at the end of this season and although Chelsea are interested in extending his current agreement, an agreement has not been reached.
Arsenal landed at David Luiz from Chelsea last summer and players have long moved from both teams.
Arsenal won’t have so much money to spend in the transfer window when it reopens and Mikel Arteta was tipped to look for free agents and special offers.
Willian would be one of the best free agents on the market if he left Chelsea in the summer and would be perfect for Arsenal, according to former Chelsea star Denise Wise.
He admitted that he would not want the Brazilian to join Arsenal or any other Premier League team if he were to leave Stamford Bridge.
When asked about the prospect of Willian joining Manchester United and Arsenal, Wise said at Stadium Astro as quoted by Standard Sports: “Well, I don’t want him to go to any of them, I have to say why it will be competition for Chelsea.
“I think it would be suitable for anyone; Arsenal, I think it would be perfect for them. This is the sad thing, we will let him go to an opposition that wants to compete.
“We have to replace it with something else, we have replaced it but we will do it [need] much more because we will depend only on two when you want more.
“I think Pedro will go too, so we will lose two large men. We will be disappointed to lose him too. When you look at the quality that is going on, Chelsea have to look for quality to enter. “
