Walt Disney World
Starting next year, some Star Wars fans’ biggest dream could finally come true. A “Star Wars Hotel” for the whole family has been built in Florida for a long time. Now the first pictures are appearing and are very promising.
“Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Land”: The first Star Wars hotel in the world
The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida has been planning and building a large building complex for some time, where fans can immerse themselves directly in the Star Wars universe. The hotel is scheduled to open next year 2021, but the corona pandemic means that construction is progressing more slowly than planned. Together with the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser, it should be THE interactive experience for small and large Star Wars fans.
In the hotel you can not only spend the night, but the guests are assigned certain roles and they experience their very own Star Wars story. It should be a captivating experience of a special kind and now for the first time pictures of the planned guest rooms have been published.
Spend the night like Luke Skywalker
The photos show that the hotel room is actually modeled on Luke Skywalker’s small room. But it looks more like a cabin and could cause claustrophobia for some visitors. The photos also show a large queen-size bed in the middle and two bunk beds next to it. The aesthetics are based on the first Star Wars parts, both the color scheme and the interior design are recognizable. You have to feel like a Leia and a hatch there.
The only problem: the room doesn’t seem to have a window. It shows a video screen on which one has a view of the distant galaxy. Of course it would be weird if you could see mountains and cows outside or a Californian landscape. But is that so familiar to every fan, without a draft and a view of the outside? How this will be implemented remains to be seen. But luckily there also seems to be a bathroom that you probably never got to see in Star Wars.
Gift idea? That is how much the overnight stay should cost
What makes us dizzy is the price: The overnight stay in the hotel should cost between 1,400 and 3,300 dollars per person. Whaaaaaaas? How can a small family with two children be able to afford that? Then probably only the Kardashian kids and Co. can spend the night here.
If Disney doesn’t do something about the price or raffle or donate the visits, then not many fans will enjoy the pleasure of feeling like Luke Skywalker for once.

Wow. I would really like to stay here. But without a window? That wouldn’t be for me either. You could convince me if a lot of Baby Yodas and Porgs would stay in the room with me … But for that I would have to win the lottery first. The price is really not at all.
