The authorities of Gibraltar have released the Iranian tanker, the Grace 1, at the center of a diplomatic conflict between Tehran and London.

The Iranian Foreign Minister used harsher language, saying the United States had failed in its attempts to "economic terrorism" in the form of sanctions and described their efforts to seize the ship as a "piracy attempt".

He said: "Having failed to achieve its goals through its economic terrorism – including by depriving cancer patients of drugs – the United States has attempted to abuse the system. Judiciary to steal our property on the high seas.
