For the fans of Leicester City, it was obvious this season that something is missing in Leicester City.

Towards the upper reaches of the city, the cities were alive and effective, without receiving the rewards for their counterattacks.

Compared to less adventurous cities, however, the city was cumbersome, uninspired and without creativity.

Claude Puel has stopped the double-defensive unit of Wilfred Ndidi and Papy Mendy as midfielders, and that has given City more strength against the better teams, if they can play in the break if they had to force the problem double insurance was not necessary ,

When available, Puel used Vicente Iborra as a remedy, with mixed results, and he even took on a more creative role with Marc Albrighton in the first 15 minutes in Liverpool, just to give up the experiment quickly.

The performance of Youri Tielemans on the debut at Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, however, makes every city fan hope that Puel has now found the answer.

He is only 21 years old, but he has Champions League experience and has played 250 senior games since his debut at the age of 16, the same number as Mendy (26) and more experienced than Ndidi.

His pass statistics at Wembley were impressive with a 91.7 percent completion rate, with five long balls, two key passes and two passing balls.

However, the stats may be misleading as Mendy's pass statistics were sometimes higher in terms of completing the pass, but much of his passing was a safe and short range.

Tielemans on Sunday was more productive, more positive and more precise, and along with James Maddison in a free role, there were more opportunities for City, which will be important as City will now face a series of encounters that are expected to bring them closer Dominate possession and deepen defense

Against Crystal Palace and Brighton and Hove Albion on home soil, Tielemans could be the man holding this key.

"We will see, but we always try to find a good balance between defense and attack in the team," said Puel about the characteristics of Tielemans.

"We talked about the loss of Albrighton (a thigh injury). Marc was able to bring in his quality and aggressiveness and his fighting spirit, and without Marc we needed a different balance in order to always have the opportunity to play openly and to have good solidity.

"I hope Tielemans can do that."
