Jadon Sancho is expected to attract interest from Manchester United and Chelsea to seal a summer transfer to Liverpool.
This is the opinion of former Reds and Blues defender Glen Johnson.
The British international may very well be on the move at the end of the season, following another impressive campaign in the Bundesliga, with various reports suggesting that its price will be in the region of £ 100 million.

The competition for Sancho’s signing should be fierce, but Johnson is of the opinion that the wing would be best suited to join the Anfield ranks.
“Sancho has been linked to almost all the best clubs in Europe, but from my point of view it will certainly find it very difficult to reject Liverpool if they knock,” said Johnson, as in Liverpool Echo.
“I know exactly what it means to wear the shirt and for every young English footballer who plays at Anfield it is what you dream of.
“They have one of the best coaches in the world in Jurgen Klopp, they are European champions and will win the Premier League, so it would be very difficult not to be seriously tempted if they were after the signing of Sancho.
“If he wants to play in England, no club is able to offer him the success that Liverpool are currently enjoying and which will surely be a great step forward towards him.
“If he were to go to a club like Manchester United, there would be so much pressure on him that he would perform as soon as he crossed the threshold and for someone young enough to take on many responsibilities.
“It is expected that the team will improve overnight and this simply does not happen, while in Liverpool he would be much less solicited to perform.
“They wouldn’t need to put him on the team every week and instead earn him his streaks. I think he would actually develop him more than attack him from the start.”

Sancho followed Johnson’s advice, then Arsenal benefited from it.
Liverpool are one of many clubs that have been linked in a move to the wonderkid Gunk Bukayo Saka, which is out of contract at Emirates Stadium next summer.
But Sancho at Anfield would almost certainly exclude the Reds from the race for Saka and perhaps strengthen the North London group’s chances of tying the wing to a new long-term deal.
