Celebrity chef James Martin sent his followers on Twitter in a frenzy after posting a “free” offer.
The chef wrote a post on social media saying he wanted to “thank” for everything his fans have done for him.
James made the unusual offer on his Twitter account, saying he wanted to visit people’s homes and cook for them for free.
The post said: “Hey people … I want to say thank you for all that you have done for me over the years and as a thank you I want to come to one of your houses and cook for you for free for no other reason than to thank you …. so how can we do it then? “
Not long after publishing the offer, James then tweeted: “Oooooopppps has gone crazy.”
The intriguing offer left some fans confused, with one asking, “Have you been hacked?”
But the chef replied to the follower, simply saying “No”.
Other fans were amazed at the “fabulous” offer, while some suggested several ways in which James could thank his supporters.
One said: “How fabulous! Do you want to come and cook in my hospice James?”
Another wrote: “Bravo James, it’s a nice gesture … whoever chooses it will change his life forever”.
A third fan said, “It looks like a fabulous idea and a lovely gesture James! It is not surprising that he has gone mad.”
“How about joining us on our” wellness bus “on a night shift and offering hot food to our hardworking family # 999 @Ldn_Ambulance bringing food to those who protect London?” suggested another fan.
“How about cooking for a family of carers who have children with special needs who can never go out and eat in restaurants,” said another fan.
A fan also suggested a contest, but the chef replied “no” to that request too.
