A three-week joint military exercise involving Turkish and Pakistani special forces ended on Saturday, reports the Anadolu Agency.

The closing ceremony of the ATATURK-XI 2021 drill was held at the Pakistani army special services headquarters in Tarbela, in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkwa, on the border with neighboring Afghanistan, according to a statement from the Pakistani army.

The Pakistani Army Inspector General of Training and Evaluation, Lieutenant General Syed Muhammad Adnan, and a high-level military delegation from Turkey, led by Major General Emre Tayanc, attended the closing ceremony.

Turkish Special Forces and troops from the elite Special Services Group of the Pakistani army participated in the exercise.

The exercise focused on counter-terrorism, hand-to-hand combat, cordon and search, rappelling, fire and movement techniques, helicopter rappelling, enclosure cleaning, hostage rescue, and drop operations. free.
