Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira has to prepare for a keyhole surgery on Wednesday.
The German midfielder was unable to play a 2-2 draw with Sassuolo last weekend due to a knee injury.
Juventus confirmed in a statement on Tuesday that the former Real Madrid star is undergoing surgery after tests highlighted a problem with the ligaments in his left knee.

Khedira, who was a regular midfielder under Maurizio Sarri, is supervised in Augsburg by Professor Ulrich Boenisch.
This season he played 17 competitive games for Juventus. He scored no goal, but registered a template.
The 32-year-old has been an important player for the Italian giants since his arrival from the Bernabeu in 2015 with a free transfer.
