Before the UK plunged into a blockade, Kate and Prince William reportedly visited an NHS center in south London to show their support for frontline workers. Although the visit itself was praised, the Duchess of Cambridge’s outfit also drew the attention of viewers. Royal commentator Angela Mollard revealed at the ROYALS podcast why Kate’s fashion choice was so important and the message she was sending.
Mollard continued: “She can afford to wear anything she likes, but I love the fact that it was normal.
“A Marks and Spencer suit is what London women really wear to work.
“He was actually doing it.”
Due to the coronavirus blockade in the UK, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their family have now moved to their home in Norfolk.
The royal commentator added: “While members of the public can be divided on how they should be funded and what role they should play, they are certainly up there as a constant influence in the UK.
“They are the ones who make everyone feel happy and safe.
“With the queen obviously in Windsor and Charles in Scotland, I think William is really stepping up to take the reins.
“He was the first to talk about the coronavirus and to instruct what to do.
“And others like Meghan and Harry and Charles and Camilla followed.”
