AC Milan and Genoa have agreed to a £ 31m deal for the international transfer of Krzysztof Piatek, according to Sky in Italy.

Representatives from the two series A clubs on Monday night and exchanged documents finalizing the £ 31m (€ 35m) move.

The deal sees Genoa lower their original asking price of £ 36m (€ 40m), but Milan wants to pay the fee upfront and include add-ons they should reach a Champions League qualifying spot in Serie A.

Piatek, who wants to earn £ 34,000-a-week (€ 2m per year), is expected to arrive in Milan on Tuesday night and undergo a medical on Wednesday morning.

The 24-year-old originally joined Genoa for £ 3.6m (€ 4m) from Polish side Cracovia in the summer, after netting at impressive 21 goals in 36 appearances in the Ekstraklasa season.

His stint in Italy has been just as successful, with 19 goals scored in 21 appearances for Genoa so far this season.

The deal will allow Higuain to reunite with former manager Maurizio Sarri, after a disappointing start to his series A season with only six goals to his name.
