The flight left Madrid, Spain, around 11:50 p.m. on Friday, with 263 passengers coming from Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Korea, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Portugal, Qatar, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Turkey. Of the total, the State subsidized two passengers for their return, in the framework of the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19).

“Last night the last special repatriation flight departed from Madrid. Thanks to all the national representations abroad, airlines and agencies that collaborated so that 2,863 people return home ”, they stated from the account of the Paraguayan Embassy in Spain.
In that sense, they detailed that the special flights connecting from Madrid began on April 26, totaling 15 trips made for the repatriation of nationals, with a total of 2,863 people who returned to the country.
In the same way, they indicated that 414 people in vulnerable situations were repatriated with a State subsidy through the National Secretariat for Returnees (Sederrec).

They also pointed out that a total of 36 Paraguayan representations abroad participated in the process of returning the compatriots.
The Government announced the reopening of the Silvio Pettirossi and Guaraní airports for commercial flights from next Wednesday, under strict sanitary protocols.
