According to Danny Mills, Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has obviously seen something in training that keeps him from Eddie Nketiah.
The manager clearly does not trust the Arsenal borrower as his first-choice striker in the league, and with Nketiah, there's just something wrong.
Nketiah has yet to play a championship game for Leeds this season, having been loaned to the Bielsa team for a year.
He scored two goals in the league to replace Leeds and scored for U21 against Slovenia on Friday.
Asked if Nketiah knocked on Bielsa's door to get some playing time, Mills said, "Yes, he is, but he had no real chance in Leeds from the start."
He told Football Insider: "It's interesting, obviously it's something that Bielsa does not quite see in practice.
"International football is different. It is not the same as in league football and certainly in championship football.
"You have to trust Marcelo Bielsa and say, 'What does not he see in training? What does not happen, so he does not get on the grid? "
"There is only something that is not right, Bielsa obviously does not trust him yet."
Since his arrival in the summer Nketiah scored four goals in nine games for the whites.
He has scored twice in two Carabao Cup appearances. one against Salford City and one against Stoke City.
Patrick Bamford is still the main striker of Bielsa, who has scored four goals in ten league games.
Meanwhile, Leeds is fifth in the championship after losing two of his last three games.
They lost 1: 2 in Millwall and Gaetano Berrardi was sent off after just 14 minutes.
After the international break, Bielsa welcomes Birmingham City on Elland Road before traveling to the high-flying Preston North End.
Preston has not lost in the championship since mid-August and takes third place.
