In addition to the Land Rover Defender from 2020, the popular Danish brick manufacturer Lego has also unveiled the Lego technology version of Solihull's reborn SUV to duplicate the vehicle's salient features and accessories. Just like the real deal, this is a pretty heavy set with a weight of 2,573 pieces.

The plate-shaped design of the Defender, here in the shape with short wheelbase 90, ensures a very faithful replica in brick form. All design elements have been adopted, including the narrow radiator grille, the square headlights with large round cans, the silver front bumper, the distinctive bonnet, the angular wheel arches and the upright glasshouse.

The model, which is 42 cm long, 20 cm wide and 22 cm high, will be available in olive green, gray or black with a contrasting white roof and the same six-spoke wheels that are also available for the Defender. You can also include some of the cute accessories that Land Rover offers in their own catalog.

These include a working winch (although I am not sure if it can carry twice its own weight), a side-mounted bag and a roof ladder. On the other hand, the removable roof rack provides everything you need for a serious off-road adventure, including a storage box and traction mats.

Inside you will find four seats and a working steering wheel. You can also turn the rear spare wheel to open the side-opening tailgate. With the rear seats folded forward, the party piece of the model becomes visible – a fully functional transmission.

According to Lego, this is Technic's most sophisticated transmission to date, though it only has half the transmission ratios of the Defender's ZF automatic transmission – four gears instead of eight. Nevertheless, it has a reduction ratio and two levers that allow you to control all functions. The latter can not be found in the original.

There's also a straight-six engine that mimics the car's 3.0-liter Ingenium petrol engine, which has a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and generates 400 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. The Lego Technic Defender will be available from October 1st at a price of 899.90 RM worldwide.
