We could all take notes from Sophia Bush.
This afternoon, the first one One Tree Hill the actress turned to Instagram to share a “bright spot on this quarantine Tuesday” with her fans and followers.
“This is my friend JP. It has been the UPS in my neighborhood for as long as I can remember. It is one of my favorite people to see at my front door or on the street when I walk with my dogs. It is full of joy and always has a big “hello!” to offer, which never fails to arouse a big smile from the residents, “Bush wrote on Instagram, along with a selfie of the two (don’t worry, as Bush also noted in his caption, the two “kept their distance).
The actress continued: “Last week I spent two days cooking more chicken stew – and cooking bone broth 24 hours a day – than I can keep track of. I froze the mason jars and distributed it to neighbors and essential neighborhood workers like my main man right here. “
Today was the day the actress was finally able to see “JP” and give him some of his homemade soup and broth.
“It’s a small act of kindness, under my control in an out of control world,” Bush continued. “Cooking and serving reminded me that we can steer our ships at any time. So. Whatever way you may be able to extend to a neighbor, friend or essential worker today, I encourage you!”
During National Doctors Day, the actress also participated in social media to honor all healthcare professionals who work on the front lines to help people affected by COVID-19.
“At a time when healthcare professionals are denied adequate PPE, will our government not deploy fans and have we now lost more Americans to COVID-19 than we did on 9/11? Can it be easy to be swallowed by despair and helplessness. But these doctors, nurses and hospital employees? “she wrote on Instagram, sharing one of her friend’s stories and photos.
“They deserve our love, our support and our FIGHT as they fight. Because their faces are bruised from wearing masks too long. Since they have to sleep in their garages to avoid exposing their families,” he added. “My friend @thisisnatalie shared this beautiful exchange with her father and I wanted to share it with all of you. We keep hope alive.”
