The 24th Boast the Coast of the Lewes Chamber of Commerce will take place on October 5 in Lewes, specifically on the Lewes campus of the University of Delaware, 700 Pilottown Road. It features Lewes' nautical heritage and offers activities that complement the annual Coast Day event at the University of Delaware.

There are several free activities related to Boast the Coast, which take place from 11:00 to 14:00. 1812 Park next to the City Dock on the canal. Kids' activities include free watermarking and balloon art by Chuckles the Clown. Free first-class decking of the R & V, the Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife's 65-foot research vessel, will also be held at the City Dock from 11pm to 2pm. The Lewes Historical Society is again partnering with the Chamber and Cape Water Tours for a special one-day tour. The Cape Water Tours Discovery ship offers two one-hour cruises at 11:00 and 12:30. The tours start at the dock of Cape Water Tours, 213 Anglers Road, Lewes. A leader of the Lewes Historical Society aboard the Discovery will cruise south along the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal on rarely-explored routes determined by historical stories and traditions. The annual three-day Lewes Merchants Fall Road Sale takes place from 10pm to 5pm. 4th, 5th and 6th of October.
