For two days this month, Lincolnshire police and trained Stevenson High School staff trained high school staff to train ALICE shooters.

ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate) is designed to improve the chances of survival in an active shooter situation. The two-day lesson included part of a series of training designed for school staff.

In Wednesday's press release on the training, the police say they and Stevenson officials are convinced that increased levels of preparedness will enable school staff to cope with intense emergency situations.
