Live Potters Bar updates as the police and helicopter rush to an ongoing incident

Emergency services rushed to the scene of an ongoing police accident in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.

Witnesses in the local area took social media to reveal how police officers were seen witnessing the accident in the Forbes Avenue and Oakmere Avenue area.

The incident is believed to be ongoing and the agents will remain in place today at 16:00 today (Thursday 21 May).

At least four police cars have been spotted in the area, while a helicopter would also have landed nearby.

It is not yet known exactly why emergency services were called to Potters Bar this afternoon.

HertsLive contacted Hertfordshire Constabulary and the East England ambulance service for comment on this ongoing incident.

Forbes Avenue is a residential street within walking distance of Oakmere Park that runs from the intersection with Chase Avenue to the intersection with Tempest Avenue.
