Liverpool Alisson is doing something no Premier League goalkeeper has ever done before

Alisson didn’t record a single Premier League goal until December 7 in Bournemouth.

The Liverpool goalkeeper missed seven games earlier in the season after being injured in the first half against Norwich on the opening day and then returned to form.

However, after closing the cherries, the Brazilian number one clearly decided that it was enough and he has conceded only one goal in the game since that game.

This means that Alisson has only conceded six goals in 17 Premier League games so far this season and is joint leader as he tries to retain the Golden Glove – he currently has nine unmatched goals alongside Dean Henderson and Nick Pope despite the men from Sheffield United and Burnley having played 23 and 25 games respectively.

Meanwhile, an 87% savings percentage in the Premier League is certainly the best of the top flight.

Overall, the Reds shooter is conceding an average goal every 244 minutes in the Premier League this season – and that’s the best ratio of any goalkeeper in a single season in the history of the competition (minimum 10 games played).

His numbers could be better when Liverpool travel to face Norwich City for their next game in the British top division.

The Canaries are winless in their last 13 against the Reds in the top flight (D2 L11) and have won so many points this season compared to Jurgen Klopp’s team in 2020 alone.

European champions have also won each of their last six Premier League away games against Norwich, scoring 20 goals in the process and at least twice each time as Liverpool have opened the scoring in each of the last 13 Premier League matches with Norwich.

The signs indicate that the Reds are ahead and that, as we have seen on numerous occasions, it will make things very difficult for the hosts this weekend with the Klopp team so well equipped to defend and exploit the spaces when the teams they go forward to try and level the process.
