Arsenal striker Lucas Albertengo, who scored a goal in the last victory over Racing Club, suffered a torn hamstring in his left leg and is out for next Friday’s game against Unión de Santa Fe, at home, and could only recently reappear in the next phase of the Professional League Cup.
The former Independiente will have three weeks of recovery and would miss the three remaining dates for the end of zone 1 of the Professional League Cup.
Albertengo had scored the first goal of the 2-0 victory last Saturday at the Cilindro de Avellaneda and due to muscle discomfort he was replaced 30 minutes into the first half by Leonel Picco.
The 29-year-old from Santa Fe was one of the reinforcements requested by DT Sergio Rondina for this new championship from Independiente and after a last step on loan at Newell’s Old Boys.
Arsenal, which is second in zone 1 with four points, will host Unión de Santa Fe with arbitration by Hernán Mastrángelo next Friday at 5:10 p.m.
