Lucasfilm will not be recasting Cara Dune. – Holocron Star Wars.

We continue to discuss the issue of Gina Carano’s dismissal and the fate of Cara Dune. During these last hours, some news has appeared regarding this controversial and unpleasant situation that caused an outbreak in social networks, between two sides, one that supports the decision of Disney Y Lucasfilm and another who considers that it was an unfair decision. Apparently things won’t calm down so easily, because Hasbro announced that they will stop making figures of the character of ‘The Mandalorian’, What caused last minute purchases and sales at inflated prices. On the other hand, rumors have invaded social networks, especially regarding the future of Cara Dune, will we see her again as another actress or did her story end in the episode titled ‘The rescue’?

Recently, the middle ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ pointed out there is no information about an appearance of Cara Dune in ‘The Book of Boba Fett’, next series to premiere and related to ‘The Mandalorian’, but that a new actress was being sought to play the rebel from Alderaan in future projects. This meant that we would have a recast of the character and that we would see her in action again. Notwithstanding the foregoing, this information was denied by Lucasfilm, hence ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ had to go out to rectify the information, since from the headquarters of ‘Star Wars’, It was indicated that there are no plans to bring Cara Dune back in any future productions of the series.

Therefore, for now there are no plans to see Cara Dune in the future, which clearly will not be with Gina Carano or another actress, something that I personally think is fine, because basically I am not a big fan of recasts or replacements. . The issue is to know if we will have the character in a future novel or comic, in order to give it a closure and not be left without an outcome. Another possibility is that at least it has some mention in the third season of ‘The Mandalorian’ The ‘Rangers of the New Republic’, since the problem was not caused with the character, but with the actress.
