"Christmas traditions from all over the world" will be discussed in songs when Vancouver Welsh Men's Choir returns to the Surrey Arts Center this month.

There, the traditional ensemble will perform on Tuesday evening, December 10, on the main stage in a popular annual event.

"It's always a blessing to have this top-class choir perform in our theater, and we're proud that the VWMC is a Surrey Christmas tradition – they've been serenading our audience for over 30 years," noted Nic Enright- Morin, publicist for Surrey Civic Theaters.

This time, the choir will be singing songs from around the world in a new two-hour show – "from Catalonia to the Caribbean, with many Celtic favorites, of course," states an event feature on surrey.ca.

Under the musical direction of Jonathan Quick, pianist Karen Lee-Morlang and guest violinist Cameron Wilson will accompany the 100-voice choir on the art stage.

The VWMC consists of featured singers led by professional musicians.

"The choir is a diverse group of people with different cultures and backgrounds – the choir is not just Welsh," the event notes. "But all members have one thing in common: the passion for singing. The VWMC love to perform traditional and contemporary choral songs and always enjoy their music and their audience. "

The concert in Surrey starts at 19:30 and ticket prices range from $ 24 to $ 39 online at tickets.surrey.ca and by calling 604-501-5566. The seats can be selected on a map published on the ticket website. There are still some places available from Tuesday (3 December).
