Police officers have appealed after a 25-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Hoole, Chester.
The victim ran on Friday, November 29, at 5:15 pm on Hoole Road along Hoole Bridge.
She was inappropriately touched by a man from behind who had followed her from Frodsham Street.
A 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, but has since been released on bail.
Now the officials are asking for more information from the public.
Detective Constable Scott Buckley of CID Chester said, "The victim was followed by a stranger on Hoole Bridge near the stairs to Chester Station, and then inappropriately touched from behind.
"It was a scary incident that, understandably, has shaken her to extremes.
"We are determined to determine who was responsible for the sexual assault and to confront them with the consequences of their actions.
"Investigations are ongoing and as part of our investigation, we are addressing all individuals who were at or near Hoole Bridge at the time of the incident to contact us at Chester CID 101.
"Perhaps you saw the incident or saw the killer following the victim.
"It is assumed that a dog walker and other members of the public were at or near the Hoole Bridge at the time of the incident."
