A reveler was left in critical condition in the hospital after suffering a serious leg injury following a home party at the hull.
Humberside police started an investigation after the incident in which a man was rushed to the royal hull infirmary in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The police had been called by the ambulance crews who were attending Sledmere Grove, a residential street near Boothferry Road, at 12.15 pm.
A section of the street was cut off and agents remained on the scene Saturday as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police said the man, believed to be 20 years old, remained in critical condition in the hospital – but it was unclear how his injury had come.
Now they are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the accident come forward.
A Humberside police spokesman said: “An investigation has been initiated to establish how a man came to suffer a serious leg injury.
“The man, believed to be in his twenties, was found in Sledmere Grove, Hull in the early hours of this morning and was taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
“We were called by ambulance crews shortly after 12.15 today (Saturday 4 July) and officers remain in the area during the ongoing investigation.”
Detective Inspector Simon Vickers said: “We believe the man had been at a party at an address in Sledmere Grove, but it has not been established at this stage how he was injured.
“As part of our investigation, we look forward to talking to anyone at the party that has yet to come forward or to any driver who was in the area at the time – especially anyone who has filmed with dashcam.”
Anyone who believes they are able to assist the investigation should call the police on non-emergency line 101, citing register number 11 on July 4.
