A man has been stabbed to death in Fulham in southwest London.

Scotland Yard said the officers were called on Saturday at 12.27 pm to report a fight on Gowan Avenue near Fulham Palace Road.

The victim, who is believed to be 29 years old, has been dealt with stab wounds.

He was cared for by members of the public before arrival of paramedics and policemen, but was declared dead shortly before 1am.

There have been no arrests. A crime scene has been set up.

The Met said the officers were working to inform the man's next of kin and that the command of murder and serious crime had been informed.

The lethal stabbing was the latest in a series of knife attacks across the country promising pledges from Interior Minister Sajid Javid. It came in a week when figures showed that 21,484 offensive and offensive offenses were registered last year, the largest since 2009. According to the Ministry of Justice, 25,103 offenses were registered.
