The Premier League transfer window may be closed, but for some clubs, the wheels will be in motion before January.

Top clubs are still at the mercy of European outfits as their window will close on the 2nd of September.

Christian Eriksen, Paul Pogba and Wilfried Zaha are three players who were close to their current clubs but did not play in the summer.

As the future is uncertain, contracts with European clubs could force the Premier League teams to play New Year.

Against this background we would like to take a look at the latest transfer rumors.

Man Utd conducted Eriksen talks

Manchester United held talks with Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen over a move this summer.

The Manchester Evening News has revealed that Spurs has encouraged the Red Devils to bid for the 27-year-old, whose contract expires in the summer.

While a deal has never been made for the Danish midfielder, he offers the fans of Man United the hope that a deal could take place again in January.

However, the competition will be tough as Eriksen will be able to sign a preliminary contract with every European club from 1 January.

Sanchez wants to leave Man United

Alexis Sanchez has been fighting for Arsenal since his move, and the winger now wants Manchester United.

According to The Times reports, Chilene's injured decision to sell Romelu Lukkau leaves him worried about his playing time.

The appearance of Mason Greenwood combined with the talents of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Daniel James means that Sanchez will probably not be a regular starter under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Although there are a number of clubs in Italy willing to accept him, they are unwilling to pay a high fee or payroll of 20 million a year.

Leicester midfield for Rangers

Andy King is expected to be loaned to Rangers before the transfer window expires.

The longtime midfielder is not part of Brendan Rodgers plan for the first team and will be allowed to join Steven Gerrard's team, says BBC Sport.

King, who has played 50 caps for Wales, was loaned to Frank Lampard in Derby County in the second half of last season.

The deal would make King Rangers 10th signing of the summer.

Southampton is keen on Lemina deal

Southampton wants to ship Mario Lemina this month.

The former Juventus man is not part of Ralph Hassenhuttl's plan and is looking for a move from the south coast.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Wolves were all linked to a change for the midfielder but a deal never came to fruition.

All hope is not lost. AS Monaco is considering a deal to bring it to France, according to Soccerlink.
