Its been almost half a decade since William Blatty published The Exorcist (1971) and – according to ancient manuscripts excavated from deep beneath Netflix HQ – it is time for the subject of demonic possession to rise again.

The dark spirit first assumed Boxing Form in 2016, but it made the mistake of taking the same name (The Exorcist) and so we all saw it coming. Now it's rising again with a double disguise: it's called Marianne and is set in France, where exorcisms (booked online) are risen dramatically since the 2015 terrorist attacks.
