Villarreal held the first training session this Tuesday ahead of Thursday’s semifinal against Arsenal. Emery decided that his players would disconnect on Monday and enjoy their relatives before the big round.
For the duel against Arsenal, no big news expected since all the players are in a position to face this important meeting. Pedraza’s little annoyances could be one of the problems, but it seems that Sunday’s rest has already erased any doubts.
The only doubts regarding the eleven lie in the right side and in the midfielder, since the side Juan Foyth and midfielder Étienne Capoue will not be able to play on Thursday due to injury and sanction, respectively. Two casualties that seem like will cover Mario Gaspar and Francis Coquelin, being the most logical bets at this point.
At first, Villarreal will line up an eleven with Gero Rulli in goal, and with a defense with Mario Gaspar, Raúl Albiol, Pau Torres and Alfonso Pedraza. A midfield with Coquelin, Parejo and Manu Trigueros; those who will accompany in attack Gerard Moreno, Paco Alcácer and Samu Chukwueze.
