Before the celebration of “Star Wars Day”, the digital platform Dezeer reported that the streams (transmissions) of the soundtracks of the Star Wars series increased by 182% since January 2019 in its Deezer HiFi mode.
Deezer has revealed that the force is with “The Empire Strikes Back”, since the final film in the Star Wars saga is the soundtrack most liked by Mexican HiFi users on Deezer, and surpasses other favorites in the series such as “The Phantom Menace”, with three percent more streams.
In honor of “Star Wars Day,” Deezer revealed the most played soundtracks in HiFi quality of the entire Star Wars series. En México, y en orden de popularidad, las más escuchadas fueron: The Empire Strikes Back, The Phantom Menace, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, The Last Jedi, The Rise of Skywalker, The Force Awakens, Attack of the Clones y Return of the Jedi.
Despite being one of the least popular films in the Star Wars franchise, the soundtrack ‘The Phantom Menace’ still achieved an admirable second place. This is largely due to the epic musical score played during the intense duel with lightsabers, which is the soul of the film.
The contemporary classic, ‘Duel of the Fates,’ elevates the crucial battle between Obi Wan Kenobi, Qui Gon Jinn, and Darth Maul.
Fans of the franchise who appreciate superior audio quality can experience and relive the magical moments of the film when listening in high fidelity. This crisp level of audio stems from the magnificent orchestral performances, and may explain why the series’ streams soared 30 percent around the world, just ahead of Star Wars Day last year. Similarly, streams of the saga’s high-fidelity soundtracks also increased by 182 percent in Mexico from January 2019 to April 2021.
“By listening to the soundtracks of the Star Wars movies in high fidelity with the right equipment, you can hear all the fine detail that could be missed when listening in normal sound quality.
You just have to close your eyes to feel like you are in a grand concert hall, listening to John Williams conduct the London Symphony Orchestra live and direct, ”says Antoine Jaeger, Soundtrack Editor at Deezer.
Fans of the saga can listen to all the soundtracks of the films in high fidelity, on sound systems such as Sonos and Bang and Olufsen.
Deezer also launches the ‘Music From The Star Wars Saga – The Essential Collection’, featuring the 18 most iconic Star Wars tracks on 360 Reality Audio. This audio format provides the ultimate listening experience as it uses spatial sound mixing to mimic the acoustics of a live performance.
