One of the epitomes of SUV motor luxury is undoubtedly the Lamborghini Urus, and its fierce aesthetic has fueled the creation of a concept version of the supercar, but for the Arctic.
Based in Sonora, automotive concept designer Abimelec Arellano has taken the Urus into territory not even imagined by Ferruccio Lamborghini himself, as a snow vehicle.
They are more than 600 horsepower that would be worthy of a vehicle Unimog, but in this case, on the platform of the SUV Lamborghini Urus.
Arellano’s idea embodies the world’s first super sports utility vehicle, in the skin of a high-performance car, unstoppable, robust and infallible on any terrain.
Lamborghini Urus, truck for the Arctic
Nicknamed as arctic truck, this Lamborghini Urus concept, promises to maintain its performance in the coldest climates.
With huge custom wheels, the Lamborghini Urus SUV for the Arctic is ready to tackle even the roughest routes.
It comes equipped in the event of a failure with a luggage rack that can accommodate a spare tire and extra gas, because one of the most impressive details about this vehicle is its regular consumption.
Regarding the engine, it is assumed that the designer will not replace the four-liter biturbo V8 that produces 641 horsepower and can go from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.6 seconds.
What undoubtedly gives strength to this concept is its transmission box, which in addition to implementing all-wheel drive like the street version, brings its reductions to provide the necessary torque that a snow vehicle requires.
This is “the long-requested follow-up for @arctictrucks,” the manufacturer of SUVs customized especially for snow, according to the instagram post from the Mexican designer.
In this sense, he adds that “beyond the concepts of Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga, the Lamborghini Urus” could undoubtedly dress for the cold and achieve its impressive performance in that field.
He further comments that “although it is smaller than the SUVs mentioned above, the Urus still looks factory-made with balloon tires ready to tackle the snow.
“In this case it took a color inspired by the Lamborghini Countach, with bronze wheels and brown leather interior,” he says.
And finally he adds that “the Lamborghini Urus is one of the fastest SUVs on sale today, so I think this would make exploring the Arctic” a whole new experience.
Although in the case of Arellano it is a render, the concept cars They are nothing more than a prototype model that official designers (or independent designers like this one) in which brands think and sometimes manufacture, as inspiration for their future models.
When we say manufacturing, we are obviously not talking about a series production, but sometimes it is just one unit and many others, thanks to today’s impressive modeling and lighting techniques, do not leave the screen.
