Brown-Miller scored 12 free throws for his 27-point night. His teammate Wildes Pierre made 15 rebounds while Tahjay Moore made eight of his own passes and added seven points and five blocks.
Ny Harmon played his part in the win with 11 points, five rebounds and three flights. Josiah Brown recorded nine points, six interceptions and five rebounds.
Ethan Lebovits compiled 22 points in the losing effort. Luke Schleck helped Metuchen with 14 points.
New Brunswick will travel to Dunellen, eighth-seeded, in the second round on Thursday.
