Mexico adds 550 more deaths from COVID and accumulates 101,373 deaths

Health authorities reported this Saturday 550 more deaths from COVID-19, for a total of 101,373 deaths for the disease.

At a press conference, José Luis Alomía, general director of Epidemiology, reported that they have been cconfirmed one million 32 thousand 688 cases of COVID, 6 thousand 719 more than yesterday Friday.

He indicated that it is estimated that 41,480 people (3% of total cases) are active cases for presenting symptoms in the last 14 days.

So far, there are 10,633 suspected deaths from COVID-19, which do not have a laboratory sample for processing.

Nationally, there is an occupation of 37% in general hospital beds. Durango, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Zacatecas, Mexico City and Chihuahua have more than 50% occupancy.

For the first time, since the epidemiological risk traffic light for COVID-19 was implemented, two states reduced their risk to a low level, Campeche, and now Chiapas.

Health authorities indicated that of the 14 entities that remain orange (high risk), six are close to returning to the red light (maximum risk): Mexico City, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes and Querétaro.

Chihuahua and Durango are the two entities that have remained in red since last October.

Meanwhile, 14 states remain at a yellow light (moderate risk).
